TYPES OF ORTHODONTICS(BRACES)
Metal braces
are the traditional “train track” braces. They consist of small metal brackets which are fitted to the front of your teeth with a wire running between them kept in place by small elastic bands. Metal braces are still widely used and are very effective. Modern technologies and techniques mean these braces are smaller, more comfortable and often faster than they used to be. Please contact our practice in if you would like more information or to book an appointment.
Clear braces
They are clear and tooth coloured free of metal. Details will be given at the time of consultation.
Self-ligation metal braces.
Damon system
They are also metal “train track” but they work without elastic bands.
Invisalign
They are plastic see through kind of aligners. They don’t involve brackets.
Lingual orthodontics
These are also metal train track kind of braces but they are placed on inside of your upper and lower teeth.
